Portrait of Moravian bishop and educator Jan Amos Comenius (Komenský), by Jürgen Ovens.  Original hangs in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Comenius was a revolutionary educator, the first to advocate universal education for women and for the poor.  He was President of the Unity during the devastating 30 Years War, and led the remnant of the Moravians into exile in Poland.  Regarded as the "Father of Modern Education."

Top-quality 16" x 20" art print on stretched canvas, suitable for fine framing for display.  Available framed in gold tone frame appropriate to the period (similar to picture; there may be some difference depending on availability).  Optional framing will add to delivery time.

Perfect for presentation to a church; ideal gift or presentation for a beloved Moravian pastor or educator!
